How'd people react?

Mostly memes - jokes about Instagram Reels, panic posts, and later, takes on the political chess move of unbanning it.

Why?

Security concerns about Chinese ownership. The push started under Trump in 2020, gained steam after FBI warnings in 2022

TikTok got banned in the US. 14 hours later? Unbanned.

What?

Biden signed a bill forcing TikTok to sell or be banned. It went down Sunday, but Trump promised to stop the ban, bringing it back hours later.

Oh well.
