It irritates me when characters walk into a "Canadian" health facility & are asked for their insurance or co-pay. Or when the rank structure of police & military are wrong (we don't have Police Captains!). Or when the character is charged with an offense that doesn't exist here.

I really wish that when American tv/film producers make supposedly-Canadian shows, they would attempt to emulate at least a little bit of actual Canadian culture. The expressions, accents, legal systems, social & cultural norms are ALWAYS just American with some light Canadiana sprinkled on top.

I suspect variance between offence types may be higher, but not sure how you'd quantify it without it becoming tedious. A "dial-a-dope" drug dealer may only be convicted 2-3x/year (a function of justice system capacity), but complete 100s of transactions/24hrs. Enterprise offences may be unique?
