I enjoy wine, food and travel. I love taking photos, but don’t consider myself a photographer. Sitting in the backyard with a good book also pleases me. Good shoes are essential. I write here: pullthatcork.com

It's heavily slanted toward Napa (and West Coast) due to the 2021 vintage but has something from just about everywhere..average score is 97 and the median price is $118, so it's not a value list... but we think every wine is bangin. jebdunnuck.com/2024/12/top-...

A couple of follow-ups re: today's California #quakes:
1) There was actually only one significant quake as of 1pm PT--the M7.0 SW of Eureka. The far northern Sonoma County quake was actually ~M4.1 but initially registered higher due to conflicting data. [1/3]
Yes. This makes sense to me #wine

True enough the grocery store choices are numerous. I buy almost exclusively direct from California wineries and an online Burgundy specialist though. If we find an independent wine shop on our travels we often wander in.

Love the cool-vintage character in this wine with a bit of dried tomato leaf. Lovely fruit flavors, acidity and tannin structure as well. Still youthful. 🍷 #wine #NapaValley
