Masking discourse is on again and I’ll just say if you see people masking when few others are it’s likely because they’ve determined that for them, in that setting, the benefit of not catching (or spreading) whatever’s going around is worth the cost of masking. Every day when we get up we have a choice.

We can choose to be tolerant, compassionate, inclusive members of the resistance. We can commit to standing up for all marginalized people in any way we can.

Or we can choose lies, bigotry and division.

Make the right choice. Stand up. Fight back.

Voices that would not get a chance to tell their story otherwise. We need real stories, ones that expand our understanding of the world, so I would especially be looking for something challenges peoples perceptions of the world

One of the easiest, most visible ways to resist is to mask

Safeguarding your health is more important than ever. It’s easier to fight back when you’re not chronically ill

It shows you care about disabled & marginalized individuals

It tells government you won’t be complicit in the harm of others

In the same way that we are picking up books instead of social media, can some of that be supporting local theatre too?

People need theatre, it builds empathy in such a unique way. I love digital media and movies but it doesn’t connect with you like being guided through the depths of human emotion surrounded by other humans
