Can someone please give me an update on what we know about 3I Atlas without first giving me a 1/2 hour history lesson on all the things I already know?

This Halloween we are planning to do a rewatch of Babylon 5, which he have on DVD.

Just for the record, I am signed up for exactly zero subscription services and intent to keep it that way.

I tend to get my non-fiction from the web or podcasts. What I do read is lots of mostly indie science fiction, with a mix of fantasy and mystery thrown into the mix.

I honestly can't say which was my sisters favourite novel, but right now I've had fun getting back into the Solar Queen series from which I took a few ideas for my own writing.

Women not into science fiction? My sister is the one who got me into science fiction, then introduced me to one of my favourite all time writers, Andre Norton aka Alice May Norton.

Point 1 reminds me of when our daughter was young. She never had matching socks because I got them all from a childrens wear agent and he only got 1 of each sock so there were no pairs for thieves to take. She was 14 before she got her first set of matching socks from us.

Slow commute to work this morning. I mean, when the opportunity presented itself I was passing large swaths of cars at a speed where I am normaly the one being passed.

There's even the danger that a breakout hit would have readers putting so much pressure on us to keep upping the anti that our ability to tell they story is hampered.

And there are many authors out there in the same place I am. While a breakout, movie deal, or whatever could be considered icing on the cake, all we really need is to reach that subset of readers who will get lost in the stories we have to tell.

In the grand scheme of being an author I do not need a big breakout hit that everyone is talking about, a few thousand avid readers would have me popping champagne and celebrating my reach.

These stories encorporate a degree of hope and wonder I looked for in the books I was reading as a teen and onward to today all these decades later.

I do not consider myself a career author. I have a story I want to tell and I have written my books to tell that story. There's no trend chasing, or analysing the market for what's hot, just telling the story knowing there are people out there who will enjoy the type of novels I write.

Does this make sense to you? Recently heard a writer say (paraphrase): I use Claud AI to help me generate promo ideas. I'll ask for ten tag lines, none of them will be usable, but I might be able to get a workable idea out of some nugged hidden in there?

First dreg of the year for the front of the building street gutter, complete with flood warnings as I make my way down the slope toward the drain at the far end.

I've pulled together the prose bits of my brainstorming to discover I've written the first 500 words of book 5.

I've already fussed over the possiblity some people will interpret narrow eyes as meaning close together, and now I have this question on top of it.

I just found myself in one of those, now how do I do this, moments. I've used narrow to describe June's eyes to avoid calling then oriental, but now I need to indicate they are half closed. Saying, her half closed narrow eyes, doesn't feel right.

This has been an out of sync kind of day, but I gave secured a spot with my evil content editor for February of next year giving me extra room to sweep under the chairs in search of cash to pay for it.

Wait. It is Tuesday? That is the end of my regular week. Hmm, looking like a situation normal to me.

Freya bunny was a little trooper for the vet visit, though we had to go full bunny burrito so the vet could flush the absess area after finding he could still express puss. Turns out we haven't been getting the iodine fludh deep enough and he supplied a thinner tip to get deeper into the cavity.

Getting ready to take our bunny, Freya, in for a follow up check after she showed signs of stress after her vet visit on Saturday. Overall she is acting good but there are a couple of things that need to be checked over.

This is why I limit my text to speech engine to an older program that runs on my laptop and does not use modern AI as the basis of its operation.

Cat is once again complaining he is not allowed into the bedroom, in spite of the fact every time we let him in there he ends up peeing on the bed.

This is a tricky one to answer. My first complete story was written as part of a creative writing class in highschool, making it both a school project and a passion project.

The pain in my right arm has been hanging on for so many weeks I may be forced to have the doctor look at it.
