HeadStart participants recently paid a visit to The People' s Kitchen Belfast to learn more about how the organisation supports people in the city dealing with homelessness. The group came together to build packs of essential items to donate upon their visit for those in need.

Our Directions group had an informative visit to the Crumlin Road Gaol today. One of the group commented, "It's hard to face this part of our history sometimes, but after today I do feel like it's important to acknowledge. It wasn't that long ago this gaol was in use."

Led by our inspiring youth advisory group, the day was packed with workshops, honest discussion and a Wellbeing Zone full of support, resources and activities. From acupuncture to mindfulness, young people explored new ways to look after their mental health and connect with each other.

👏 In May over 180 young people came together for PowerUp’s youth panel event at the @Shankill Women's Centre diving into powerful conversations on mental health and wellbeing.

From creating essential packs and food hampers to uplifting wellbeing trails, stalls and building community boards, every action came from a place of collective care and purpose.

#DayOn with Journeys was unbelievable today!
Young people from communities across Belfast came together in a shared act of service, giving back to the services and communities that support them through real challenges like poverty, homelessness, mental health and displacement.

Through thoughtful discussions and activities around topics like prejudice, stereotypes, and discrimination, young people dived in to what diversity really means and how we can all contribute to building a more inclusive society for everyone.

Gamechanger explored Good Relations through the lens of building positive relationships. The groups took part in various exercises such as a red flag/green flag activity where they answered statements on positive and negative relationship building.

Eighteen months ago, 16 young people from either side of Belfast’s first Peace Wall at Cupar Way came together through Springboard’s Wall2Wall programme, supported by the International Fund for Ireland’s Personal Youth & Development Programme. (2/3)

HeadStart's residential took place last week and the group had a fantastic time! Everyone took part in competitions and made space for reflection of their journey over the last 6 months.

The group had the joy of witnessing the Northern Lights in the evening! An unforgettable experience for all.
