At this point, even the most obtuse Americans...realize...Trump wants to create chaos & incite violence in “blue” cities & states...welcome news for MAGA...who want to see...heads bashed in while masked ICE goons...bag daily quota of brown people, it should horrify any Constitution-loving patriot.

He is making sh*t up. To justify Trump's deployment of troops. Despicable.

A lot of libertarians who have been screaming in my replies about "authoritarianism" and "tyranny" for the last four years are conspicuously quiet right now.

Every court Trump is before must take notice of the fact that the litigant has declared that if any court holds up his agenda, he'll declare martial law. That is a threat against these courts and an attempted coercion of federal officials. Just so, media and pols' jobs *require* civil-war protocols.

I do not need to be told that media helped create this problem. Or how many politicians let us down. And I'm a journalist rather than an activist, so no need to tell me to come up with a plan. Trump has said what he'll do, and those entities with a responsibility for responding must act accordingly.

It seems clear—I think to everyone, now—that a false and illegal invocation of the Insurrection Act is coming before the end of the year. Media outlets should be telling us how they will prepare for this potential Treason. State governments should be telling us. Activists should be developing plans.
