City of Portland, OR has banned them effective 1/1/26. For '26 & '27 gas blowers will only be allowed during the wet leaf season of Oct-Dec. Then in '28 they are totally banned. The property owner is responsible for any violations, not the yard contractor or property manager.

Went biking along the trail next to Fanno Creek in Beaverton and saw a lot of beaver activity, including dams and several felled trees like this one.

I would love to see the source of this data so I can repeat it.

Went biking along the Columbia River near Vancouver, WA yesterday and saw dozens of sea lions eating salmon. They were generally headed upstream. Lots of people fishing in boats and along the shore didn’t seem to bother them at all.

Stayed up late to see the lunar eclipse. Took this about 12:30 am PDT.

It's OK to flip the bird or honk, but the second anyone does damage then I'm not OK with that. Someone in Vancouver had their car spray painted with a swastika and that's just wrong because Musk doesn't own that car. I protest by using my free super charging as much as possible, which Musk pays for.

We have some daffodils that live along the side of the house where no one can see them. The sun warms the area and they bloom early. I figure we might as well enjoy them inside.

The waxing gibbous moon is in the upper right and in the lower left is a pin prick of light that is Jupiter, circled in red to highlight its position.

Tried to take a picture out through a skylight of the moon and Jupiter tonight. Had to massage the exposure, etc. to even see anything clearly. I circled Jupiter to show where it was...
