I've been working on small improvements and polish for the 11th alpha of GodSVG, my free and open source SVG editor. It's going to be a big release.

You can now easily open files and folders in the file manager from the custom built-in file dialog.

I cannot stress how easy this package makes state management for me. I built my own state machines in PixiJS and was dreading it a bit in Godot. But no more.

Chickensoft have so many other fantastic tools available too. Most of it is for C#, and it makes the Godot dev experience so pleasant.

Started moving Panic Spiral into #godot this week. I learned loads building the prototype in PixiJS. It makes me incredibly grateful how much just *exists* in Godot.

I decided to try Chickensoft's LogicBlocks for state management. And it makes it so straightforward and elegant.

DisplayServer.window_set_size(new_size) # Vector2i (w,h in pixels)
get_window().content_scale_factor = scale # float (eg 2, 3, ...)
get_window().set_content_scale_size(new_size) # Vector2i (w,h in pixels)

After a lot of trial and error, it turns out THIS is how to scale a window and its contents by a fixed ratio in #Godot. It's these 3 lines of code. If you leave out any of these commands, you get the "wrong" images below.

I wouldnโ€™t know. I tried an nvidia laptop with Linux last year and had to give up. When I built my new PC, I decided to use a new AMD card so I wouldnโ€™t have to deal with nvidia.
