Final Fantasy Tactics is good! Who knew?

I suppose I should have tried to play it sometime in the last 30 years, but that would have required me to touch a Dual Shock controller (ew) or a PSP (double ew). This is a Sega/Microsoft house! I was too busy with my Saturn, Dreamcast, and Xbox. 😉

I would say "The absolute brass balls on this dude," but that would imply his nuts weren't in a jar on Trump's nightstand.

So, now we gotta wait 15 more years for another Tron movie because that’s when you can get one of those once-in-a-generation soundtracks, right?

Tron: Ares is good y’all. If you liked the first two, you’ll like this one. NIN is an inspired soundtrack, much like Daft Punk for Legacy. Visuals are amazing, story is actually pretty good, but clearly setting up for sequels. Leto’s uncomfortable weirdness actually plays well for the role. 8.5/10

Before someone points it out, yes, I have Funkos. No, I do not believe they have any monetary value whatsoever. They ARE effectively dust collectors that will become yet more garbage at some point.

Like, I can still get Tron: Legacy toys at not completely unreasonable prices. There's toys for the original Tron that are fairly recent. There's shirts and posters and merch for both all over the place.

Ares? Like 3 Funkos and some popcorn buckets.

You know what’s most telling that Disney is leaving Tron: Ares out here to die? Not a single toy can be found on Amazon, Walmart, or Target’s site.

Funkos don’t count as they’re dust collectors that become future landfill base.

Of course, some would argue that since I moved my primary computing platform to MacOS, I've given up on gaming anyway, and fair, but I am at an age where I'd rather not get frustrated out of my mind or blow a weekend just trying to get some program working. I don't want to work that hard for my fun.

And of course the PC still exists, but I specifically play more games on console because I can hit the power button and within a few seconds be playing on a big 4K TV, sitting on my couch. I don't have to fidget with drivers and patches or do config tweaking just to make the game run halfway decent.

Yes, yes, I know Playstation still exists (for now), but I hate the controller and I hate their ecosystem with multiplayer and the store. Nintendo is there, but frankly, it's a toy and does not have the games I'm looking for. Streaming games is so not ready for prime time, I don't even consider it.

Rumors abound that Microsoft is ceasing Xbox hardware production and going all in on streaming games.

Well, they did it. They figured out the one thing that would make me stop playing video games.

I will never turn down a trip to White Castle or Krystal.
