Have you ever changed the mind of an anti-vaxxer by throwing down a bunch of statistics, proving your dominant intelligence? I’d be surprised.

I think people have always felt their views are valid. I believe the solution is to not look at these views with disdain but instead with empathy and recognition that tribalism is pernicious on all sides, and can only be effectively met with genuine belief that we all want what’s best.

Technically I agree. It should be straightforward to look at the facts and choose vaccines. What I’m saying isn’t about what’s true, it’s about how to have conversations with humans. Make sure all sides feel heard, and it’s a lot easier to get your point across. It’s not always about being right.

This just isn’t a debate about data. There are mountains of data and frankly it just isn’t what it’s about for the majority of people hesitant to vaccinate themselves or their kids.

Instead, we need to approach them with empathy and genuine curiosity if we hope to get on the same page.

It seems like an obvious decision to make with the current laws. The issue here isn’t Elon, it’s Citizens United v. FEC (2010).

The bigger question is: do you think individuals should be able to fund entire campaigns through super PACs?

How do republicans make you feel? To me it feels pretty intense calling them all idiots. I know things are quite divisive right now so I get it. But it’s always valuable to question ourselves before others.

I definitely prefer Bluesky over Twitter rn, but I think we need to really ask ourselves whether we just want to create another echo chamber. These responses, which might sound “delusional” to you or me, actually show level headedness imo. How do you think you might respond to some of these?
