I just read Bog Queen, it was fantastic! So interesting to get the little tidbits of science, really well written, and the audiobook was even really well done and easy to listen to.

21.01.2026 19:05 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thatโs awesome that you have the actual tools! I finagled something together with a printout and puffy paint last year during a book club session where we read a Louis Braille life story picture book๐
06.01.2026 11:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโve also read so many things from the education sphere recently that have been saying that kids getting a deep grasp of the basics is a big reason why we are seeing this dip in achievement in schools. Teachers not having time to stay w/ subjects isnโt helped by AI, but by less tests, more freedom.
04.01.2026 14:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Feels silly commenting the same book twice on your posts but Donโt Let the Forest In is a great example of this. I donโt want to spoil it but definitely psychology threads running through the story, especially as you near the end. The MC is dealing w/ aftereffects of a traumatic event.
04.01.2026 01:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Donโt Let the Forest In. โจObsessableโจ Itโs got horror, darkness, mystery, psychological thrills, and little mini fairy tales with illustrations throughout the book, that tie into the main story. Itโs so unique and captivating. It will stick with you for a long time after you finish it.
04.01.2026 00:52 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Absolutely 2nd both of these! I just reread the Spell Shop and it holds up after a 2nd read. The islanders are such a great example of how society should work (well all except one lol)
04.01.2026 00:42 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0We just finished the show Dispatches From Elsewhere, and it was just so inspiring & hopeful. ALL the feels, but overall it really left an impression of how important human connection is, and acceptance, and love. In books, I will suggest some classics: nearly the entirety of LM Montgomeryโs worksโค๏ธ
04.01.2026 00:39 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I havenโt even listed that Iโve started them on my Fable account. Much less kept up on here. Iโve read so many! But I finished The Enchanted Greenhouse today and it was *chefโs kiss*, so there ya go at least one person knows now๐

24.09.2025 02:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0My dad is autistic, my full blooded brother is autistic, both of my children are autistic, their bio dad is autistic, my niece and nephew are autistic, and just two weeks ago my half sister, their mom, was saying sheโs pretty certain sheโs autistic. Tell me again how itโs Tylenol and vaccines??
24.09.2025 02:52 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Dang! I just borrowed the 1st in Libby so Iโll be starting after I finish The Incandescent. Thanks for the warning! Though Iโve ready so many incomplete series lately I fear Iโm getting jaded to it๐ซฃ I just try to immediately start a new book so I donโt wallow ๐
20.09.2025 16:04 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0How do specials teachers do this in 30 min/week? We need classroom management too, and when you see the entire school itโs hard to just know their NAMES, much less build a relationship in the 5 sec it takes to scan their book (librarian). I would gladly accept advice that doesnโt involve bribing.
07.09.2025 16:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโm so frustrated by the lack of options for classroom management (esp in specials that see kids 30min/week) that donโt involve bribery. Or pitting kids against each other in โchallengesโ. These approaches feel wrong. Arenโt we supposed to be building empathy & cooperation & intrinsic motivation??
07.09.2025 15:47 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Super real for some of us in the metro Phoenix area of Arizona. It was 118 last week according to the thermometer on my porch. Itโs flipping exhausting just existing when itโs that hot, even with AC in all buildings and vehicles.
24.06.2025 20:26 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0WHY DOES EVERY MALE LOVE INTEREST IN EVERY FANTASY BOOK MAGICALLY SMELL LIKE CINNAMON ALL THE TIME??! Like, thatโs not what men smell like! 24.06.2025 20:21 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I received my sticker order from Karen a few days ago and am totally in love, her work is SO GORGEOUS! She also included 2 sticker freebies including one w/a girl and a fox, and foxes are my daughterโs current obsession so she was ecstatic. Thank you Karen!๐ซถ
10.06.2025 21:59 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ah, I do that too! Love chai- thatโs my 2nd fav. I do a rooibos or decaf version. Another iced tea blend thatโs also tasty is spearmint and lemongrass. So refreshing and light. So nice to talk tea with someoneโบ๏ธ
07.06.2025 17:44 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0โTea, Earl Grey, Hotโ- all the way baby! Butterfly pea flower is amazing also if you havenโt tried any tea blends w/that ingredient yet. It makes a great iced tea!
07.06.2025 17:34 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Omg I ADORE Earl Grey! I have a London Fog pretty much daily- I make two tea lattes for work every day with collagen protein and one is always Earl Grey cuz itโs my fav. Itโs just so comforting. I am also in the Phx area so I totally need these!
07.06.2025 17:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0After all the absolute nonsense that happens- sending kids out to run in open air instead of staying inside a building?? 26.05.2025 13:43 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0#DoctorWho Wish World was another great episode. I love how they are bringing back but updating and refreshing the takes on classic Who characters/events. 26.05.2025 03:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I just saw a post about how reading novels is so important to building empathy, but then I see your beautiful poetry and am struck by how effectively poetry does that as well. I think poetry is often our hearts and souls in print, and itโs so important to encourage reading it specifically too.
