2.5 was my fav Strive patch ever, and I'm glad we got it for like, 8 months. S4 may not be great, but it's hard to describe how bad 3.0 was.

65th/~700 at Frosty Faustings! Very proud of my play, clutching multiple game 5s, and pushing Goku(MFCR) to the final game as well, even if I came up just shy of the win! Out to Razzo in losers.

Best Frosty performance yet! Love this game, love my character, the grind continues!

Out of pools, winners side!
Had to clutch up and win two game 5 final round and sets in a row, but we're here!

Saturday pools are always weird. Spend all day Friday prepping, watching friends win and lose. But not getting your shot until the next day.

Almost time though. Feeling very ready, and confident! Pool 2 at noon tomorrow, can't wait to show off what I've been cooking!

The belt just showed up in the mail so I can finally post this. But holy shit, I'm so hyped to have taken the W at TOLs final tourney, the Royal Rumble!

Was mad fun! Killer event and a sick prize. Thanks to everyone at The Online Local for putting it all on! Was a great capstone to a goated series!

XD tbf I'm playing it up a little bit. Definitely still counterplay to pull from the mines. But yeah, a lot of Pot/Johnny don't know just how deep their anti-zoning tech well is, because one or two tools are so good at getting the job done.

I really like this Strive patch, don't get me wrong. But really not looking forward to dealing with this version of Johnny + Pot for a few months

Yep, I get dodged by Axl's stronger MUs in tower a ton. I'm lucky I train with an Asuka, because otherwise I'd be getting zero MU practice against him in tower.

Very early opinions off the notes. Most changes were nerfs, so most winners won by being nerfed less, or not having their strongest tools touched. Very few buffs were given.

I think this is a very good patch for Axl.
-There were only 6ish buffs in the whole patch, and Axl got one of the stronger ones imo
-damage lowered across the board, Rensen left untouched
-Ram, May, GL all hit hard, all were problem MUs for us
-Pot stronger, but flick hurtbox is a W for zoners

Gonna say this is a good patch. Not a perfect patch, but a good one.

I thought there were like 7 OPs before, and they made significant changes to 3-4 of them. Honestly, I'll take that

Pretty hopeful based on what they're saying here. Still committed to keeping damage lower, making sure characters have defined weaknesses, and Pot not being the warcrime that he is this version are all big wins in my book.

If I had to guess, I don't think Arcsys changes Axl in the Dec/Jan patch.

But if they do, I'm hoping they buff this new version of RW. They want it to give Axl space and plus frames. Great! Give it enough of either that it's a threat again.

Also, mad shout out to the SoCal Strive scene! In year 4 of the game, Strive had more entrants than SF6 and T8! Love the community we've got out here.

Yeah, they put on a great show! Definitely an event I'd recommend if they run it back next year.

RISC was a fantastic event! Love that we have another SoCal regional. Huge props to Kizzie and the team for making it happen.

I was hungry for a top 8 finish, but ended with my second 9th finish in a row at regionals. We'll get there eventually.

Feeling so confident in the S4 gameplan! Just swept through a stacked top 8 without a loss. The S4 Rensen jail gameplan I've been working on is finally starting to click and it feels so damn good!

This Strive patch is so funny because like, 70% of the time I'm like "Damn, Arcsys did a nice job with these reworks"... But the other 30% I'm playing against one of the characters they messed up on and it's just paaaaaaaain!

Got my first bracket W of the season this weekend! My S4 Axl is still mad clunky and unpolished, but it feels good seeing the new gameplan starting to come together.

Furries want one thing, and that's long-ass buttons!
