I rewatched Iron Man 3 at the weekend and even before the film was over, I'd pulled Warren Ellis' Extremis run off the shelf and started reading it.

Six issues, a very different Iron Man, but a much better story.

I've just released v1.3.0 of a system I've been working on, and it was only when I went to quantify it that I realised I was on v1.3.0...

I probably should have considered semantic versioning sooner to keep track of this, but it didn't seem important then (still isn't really important now).

Second Gunpla kit of the weekend, the RX-78-01[FSD] Gundam FSD.

You know, I should really watch Origin at some point given this is my third kit I've built from it.

I love a dark Gundam, and the gatling gun is a lovely addition. Multiple weapon and shield options really sell the wartime ethos.

I rate this kit highly for anyone interested in Gunpla. There's a lot of flexibility and detail to uncover in this specialised mobile suit!

It literally does not compare to older Zaku kits at all!

Back to Gunpla and I've built the MS-06S Zaku II (Red Comet Version) from Mobile Suit Gundam: the Origin.

So much more detail than the regular Zaku from the Origin line. Not to mention the extra weaponry!

Had to do the decals for Charlie even though I'm not the biggest fan of them in general.

So I will periodically be confused as to how a pile of treasure has battered in the gates of a fortress.

It's amazing what the combination of a flat inspection and a parental visit will do.

My flat is tidier than it's been in months, the washing up is (mostly) done, the spare room is ready for guests...

And I'm reminded that I have more stuff than I can fit in this flat without it being cluttered.

Pushing live production code cooked up by some young coders over a week of sleepness nights in place of a legacy system that is fundamental to the operation of the US government is against every programming best practice.

A book series about a mouthy Aussie who gets isekaied to another universe and gains magical game-like powers may not be for everyone, but it absolutely is my cup of tea.

I'm re-reading the series right now because it's been a while and I needed something reliable to lean on.

I'm not sure if it's the stress, depression, or the well-written scene in He Who Fights With Monsters 5, but I'm crying on a train right now.

I think it's a good thing. The book is great, after all. Good media that makes you feel real emotions is hard to find.
