Oh no! Was there a second group with those t-shirts? I saw one group who were wandering around unopposed right in front of the church in the middle of the crowd until @sheeppuppet.bsky.social made a sign identifying them as fascist agitators and then spent several hours holding it over them.

There is nothing shameful about being a trans woman. You have no reason to be embarrassed or offended by occasionally being mistaken for one - save the prejudices you supply yourself, and those held by your allies when they do it to you.

If it hurts your feelings to have that language used in error when mistaking you for a trans woman - which becomes increasingly likely over time due to the way everyone's bodies age - please consider what it is like for those you systematically do it to every single day.

If you claim to know and love trans women but have a tantrum about being mistaken for one, maybe it's time to examine why you feel that way and what that says about you?

Especially when it's your allies accidentally doing it with the same language you regularly use yourself.

The whole trans girls in sports discussion is absolutely being used to propagandize people into being transphobic bellends.

In K-12, the number of trans girls in sports is five.
In college the number is fewer than ten, according to the NCAA President.

You're being manipulated. Please stop.

Look for weird behaviours around challenges to authority ('I must always be the hero') alongside a reluctance to listen and respond to other trans people. Beware attempts to hold court or self-promote as a community leader especially from those who pop up out of nowhere.

Look for Main Character Syndrone names that present an account as if they are the only person to ever walk that path or "own" that identity.

It's so bleak isn't it?

There are soft tells for vulnerability to this kind of thing - beware anyone overly keen on self-aggrandising martyr narratives or who seems oddly threatened by the existence of other people with the same 'brand niche.'
