Not making excuses, but Putin's GRU conducted a wildly successful disinformation attack during Trump's first campaign. That attack, and probably similar attacks by China, N. Korea, and Iran, latched onto and catalyzed festering racism and sexism creating the devastating divisions seen today.

The most difficult part of building a nuke is obtaining the fissile material. Uranium only needs to be enriched to 5% for a power plant but 80%-90% for a nuclear weapon. The 60% enriched uranium Iran has is 90% of the way to a bomb...all because Trump's ego had to negate Obama's accomplishments.

The founding fathers did provide for the possibility...in the form of the 2nd Amendment. But fortunately, the courts are providing enough of a check on the lunatic's power despite Mike Johnson's abject failure to do his duty under the Constitution.
