The economy is only getting worse, husband is still unemployed, and I'm apparently still unemployable. We're currently broke, and can't predict when the next unemployment payment will arrive. The fridge is empty and we won't get anything more from the food stamps for about two weeks.

This is wild.

gotcha. Hmm. In Canada there are services where you can "rent out" your vehicle on days you're not using it... could there be something like that there? (are there days you're not using it?). That's the thing with cars - most of the time they're sitting parked. :P

I wish I knew what to suggest. The car… dunno, how's public transit and/or cycling infrastructure there? It might not be ideal, but that's a lot of money saved if you can make-do without. Rent is the most important at the moment I'd think.

yeah, too combative and competitive-sounding. I guess it can inspire some to improve, but for others (like me) it's kinda intimidating.

Love the concept of Artfight. I think artists taking interest and drawing each others' OCs are very good and fun. I love seeing it happen.

... But calling the process 'attack', 'defend', 'revenge' feels forced to me, and it hits my ears wrong.

Update: Visa told me "we allow any legal transaction on our network, and we don't push stores to limit specific items."

This is a obvious lie, so I called my issuer (Chase) and said "I just got off the phone with Visa, and they lied to me, and also here's the media stories on this."
