Oh hello. Time for another round of ill-informed party political point-scoring.

Yes, but beware the multinational tech-based companies dreaming of taking over all transport in the city

07.08.2025 12:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you. That's a handy source.
07.08.2025 09:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0BTW @robbieainsworth.bsky.socialβ¬ can you indicate source and time?
Some of those hotspots & coldspots look distinctly counter-intuitive...wonder if was while Wednesday's Princes St incident was on?
Where there used to be a bus lane and not so many car parking spaces feeding directly onto/off it.
07.08.2025 07:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No.
But what that pic appears to show is that the worst bus chaos is on Leith St.
Predictions, please, for the date of the first motion to Edinburgh Council "we've cut emissions by only 48% so let's give up any attempt and dual every road in sight".

IWRC, it was suggested the stop wouldn't be restored pending the George IV Bridge project being complete.
Even though there now appears to be a Bustracker screen. Which is a fairly permanent installation.
Street Scene with bus stop, passengers and customers going into and out of the Cameo Cinema in Edinburgh. It has an open porch over the street.
Tollcrossβs busiest bus stop at Cameo Cinema, Edinburgh is to close for a week.
It is said to be for βsafety reasonsβ; but it has also been suggested itβs to enhance red carpet treatment for celebrities. You can read the full Edinburgh Reporter story by clicking on the link:- bit.ly/452CPgr

Some of us are old enough to remember that the bus stop that used to be there was removed because Hotel Missoni thought it didn't suit the frontage of their 5(?) star hotel.
And we're still alive to witness that @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social still hasn't sorted out its replacement.

TBF, even in non-Festival times these wrap-around ads are a case study of street clutter.
Chiefly advertising @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social initiatives.
Also, the Edinburgh Evening News is called a 'newspaper', but consists largely of 'amazing pictures from the 1990s'.
