I don’t understand why studio don’t hedge their bets more! Why don’t they, instead of making one 600mil film, make 100 6mil films, the chances one of those films being the next paranormal activity or big fat Greek wedding is much higher… and we’d have a few more films without (physical) superheros

or maybe its, $5000 minus 20%, $4000. then 50% off that as well in first year so its actually $3000 written off in first year? this is why i have an accountant...

Its double dipping as far as i see it. IE Computer for $5000, depreciated at 50% normally, but will now have an additional 20% in first year, so effectively the first year on a $5000 computer would be $3500 written off against tax. then the $750 2nd year (50% of $1500 balance) and so on...
