A dramatic scene as an Icelandic volcano erupts at sunrise. The Sun's glow is visible on the left and paints the rocky hill on the right with golden light. In the center of the frame, vibrant yellow and orange lava erupts hundreds of feet into the air from a deep black spatter cone, with a significant plume of white gasses rising into the air above the volcano. Sprawling outward in all directions from the cone, solidified black lava creeps over and covers the surrounding landscape. Along the lava's edges are numerous moss fires that generate white puffs of smoke. In the foreground's center are three tiny little people standing in awe at the lava's edge, providing a sense of scale for the scene. Note that they are 1,500-2,000 ft in front of the volcanic cone and even still they are dwarfed by it! The volcano is much larger than it looks.
