Cat sat next to art work

Inquisitive paws ruin pastel drawings so I have to cover my art when I leave the room or risk getting some paw shaped smudges.

As a result of this post yesterday, I actually lost one follower and gained just one. You gotta laugh or you’d cry. 😞🤷‍♂️

I love the art class I go to. My teacher really knows how to get me doing stuff out of my normal comfort zone. I’d requested we might do a study of a human eye (see photo).

I hate freehand drawing but she made me do it anyway telling me I’m capable. #pastels #art #eyes

I thought the worst 😔
But when I uncovered him he was still alive!!!
I was so happy.
Unfortunately there wasn’t much change in his condition so we took him to our local wildlife rescue centre who took him in.
They told me to call them next week for an update.
I named him
Mr Rooky McRookFace ❤️

And I brought him inside in a box.
He wasn’t interested in food at all and seemed exhausted. There were no obvious injuries so I put him in a quiet room overnight and hoped he would be a bit better by the morning.
As soon as it got light I checked on him but there was no sounds coming from the box..

He had somehow found his way to my back door!! My house is over 100m from where I found him, and he would have had to get across a very tall hedge.
It was as if he was asking me for help.
Poor little fella was still really wobbly and couldn’t fly at all, so I gently covered him with a blanket….

Walking my Ridgebacks we came across an injured Rook.
At first I thought he might be drunk on rotting apples from the orchard, so I ushered him into the long grass and left him for 2 hours to see if he might recover.
When I checked later he was gone.
Later that night I couldn’t believe my eyes…..
