Weโre building it with our eyes wide open
PS. What would you do differently in this next wave?
And for those of us building inside that stormโฆ
we had to keep moving, learning, choosing better
Not because we got it wrong
But because we want to get it right
GenAI 2.0 isnโt a reset
Itโs a return to what matters:
People. Purpose. Progress.
And this timeโฆ
I still remember the buzz when GenAI first landed
It felt like watching history unfold in real time
Everyone had stars in their eyes
But between all the funding rounds and viral demosโฆ
Something started to feel off
It became harder to tell the difference
between innovation and noise...
"Make it look like ChatGPT"
Heard this 4 times this week from founders
Stop
Your product isn't ChatGPT
Your users aren't ChatGPT's users
Your problems aren't ChatGPT's problems
Build what works for YOUR users
Not whatโs trendy or looks cool on social media
The best career advice: Never let success cost you your happiness.

P.S. Testing new features in UX Pilot
DM/Comment for early access
AI got smarter about design
So I did a quick test yesterday
Out of 100 screens generated:
- Detailed output
- 95% dev-ready
- 100% editable
The real question:
Not if AI will replace designers
But how designers will use AI
You're not losing your job
You're getting superpowers
Agree or disagree?
"AI will kill UX design"
(They said this in 2023)
Reality check:
2023:
- Basic wireframes
- Zero consistency
- Messy outputs
2024:
- Complex wireframes
- Coherent UI design
- Complete flows
2025:
- Design systems support
- Pixel-perfect exports
- Detailed UI
What changed?
"Users don't read" and 5 other UX realities that never stop being true
No matter how many projects I complete, these fundamentals remain the hardest parts of design
Which of these principles do you find yourself continuously relearning?
- Simple products win
- Smart products die
Our new rules:
1. If it needs training, it's wrong
2. If it needs explaining, it's broken
3. If it needs selling, it's dead
Smart founders build dumb products
Because dumb products work
P.S. What's the dumbest thing YOU'VE done as a founder? โโโ
- Focused on what mattered to users
- Built 1 core feature
- Simplified the tool
Revenue?
Went from $45 to $1081 (that was 15 months ago)
Since then we've been growing steadily
Our simple product now supports a team of 7 full-time people
(and we're actively hiring)
The truth nobody tells you:
The dumbest thing I did as a founder:
Trying to build the perfect product.
At the start, we built a comprehensive discovery & research tool
We spent:
- 4 months building it
- 3 team members on it
But we missed the mark!
We built what we thought was cool, not what users needed
Then we shifted:
Are you ready to adapt?
Creativity, empathy, and that human touch are still needed
But AI speeds things up. A lot.
The future of design is about working smarter, not harder
PS. Are you already using AI in your design process?
Let me know ๐
I wonโt sugarcoat itโฆ
UX design is changing, fast โโโ
But AI isnโt here to replace you
Itโs here to help you
Some designers are fighting it.
Others?
Theyโre using it to create like never before
Imagine this:
Wireframes in minutes, not hours
Thatโs the power of AI
But here's the real question:
Life is too short for a career that doesn't make you feel alive.
