The #Overloon Museum used to have a IS-2 tank outside, but now it’s a #T-35/85. It looks like the one that was inside at first and was whitewashed then.

Great museum with a D-Day immersion thingie, and lots of allied and german equipment. And a Tiger!

When we started wargaming in my club with wrg 7th edition we ordered mostly from Essex miniatures. Very expensive, high postage and one order had to be picked up at customs in Amsterdam until they found out that the UK was in the EU so no extra charges could be made.

Seventeen (!)!years ago I ordered a pack of Assyrians from Irregular Miniatures, and at last they are getting painted. Brexit prevents me from ordering more.

(I still have figures from the 1980’s waiting to be painted)

Today another #wargaming #hobbystreak with finishing my Mitanni infantry for DBA, a Dunkeldorf dwarf, a Heresy robot and a vintage Syrian bowman. Nearly finished with the Assyrians, and some others as well.

The Assyrians are indeed fun to paint, I am nearly done with them myself.

The wargames shop Jur mentioned was on national TV in a program called Showroom, mainly showing unordinary people like those believing in elves, which shows how wargaming was regarded in the late 1970’s/early 1980’s in the NL. Iirc the owner showed up dressed up as Napoleon.
