Love is a boomed laugh to hide a grown man's blush.
Love is souls pulled together with strings of angel's hair sewn by the devil's needle.
Love is the Alpha.
Love is the Omega.
Love is the clasped hands of elder men.
Love is the sweat wiped from the brow of deeply joyous crones.

Love is a thief in the night.
Love is a fire that consumes us all.
Love is a secret that slides through shadows to whisper in timid ears.
Love is a howling truth that reverbs through your very bones.
Love is fear and desire dueling to the death on a field of flowers.

I love you all.

All I know is that in 1973, God and the Devil got in a knife fight outside of a gay bar called the Urban Cowboy. There were no survivors.

Was gonna write a bit of poetry that was all ground bones and severed hope.

The being from the Portal appeared next to the child's confused and worried mother. It spoke, "I apologize milady. I should have asked you for this tteachable moment. But time was of the essence, and a child must learn."

The mother thought for a long moment. Then simply said, "Thank you."

It gently reached for the child's hand, holding out its own to wait for the other's consent. The boy waited and looked. Eveything told him he should be afraid. But he wasn't.

Hands grasped, the looked both ways and started across the street.

A hand too big for the attached body shot out, baring the boy's path.

"My dear young lord, have you forgotten? Or are you testing the patience of you honored Spawnbeast?"

The little boy looked into the creature's eyeless face, "I... I forgot. I'm sorry."

The monster smiled.

Claws tore through the air in front as the young boy turned to bolt across the street. With a crack like a ribcage shattering the portal opened. A creature crawled through, its flesh a thousand colors and textures sewed haphazardly onto a form with both too many and not enough bones.
