Having a non-binary MC would absolutely make me more likely to pick up a book! All of the main characters in my novels will always be queer, and that will never change, regardless of whether they sell well or not. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🩷

I went into this process knowing I was writing a book for myself, not for anyone else. I wanted to create something I could be proud of, regardless of whether it sold well or people liked it. I accomplished that, therefore I don’t stress about the rest. I know that’s a privileged view, though.
