And that was the argument that was made...Dan was a good coach, but just stuck at one of the toughest coaching job (VMI) in the country and his record there shouldn't count against.

He and his staff can definitely identify talent and mesh players together quickly.

I give Dan Earl credit (and UTC AD Mark Wharton too!)

While I wasn't in the naysayers when he got hired (how do you hire a guy with a 35% win percentage?), I did think it was risky.

The guy has navigated lots of NIL losses and still gotten more wins 6 seasons in a row. Great job!

Besides the Waffle House Index, I have recently discovered (or invented?) the UPS Driver Index.

This UPSDI is a gauge of how cold it is outside before drivers finally relent and put on long pants instead of shorts.

It appears that the line between shorts and pants is 15 degrees.

I drifted away from organized religion about 15 years ago. I now consider myself a deist. (google it if you need to).

But I have to say, I grew up in the Episcopalian Church and I am particularly proud of the church right now. Arguably the most caring and accepting group of Christians in America.

Jimmy Carter had a oversized influence on my upbringing because my grandfather loved him and was so much like him.

WWII veteran, civil servant, believer in equality for all, tireless volunteer for those less fortunate (he volunteered at Habitat for decades). (1/)

It will be fascinating to see how the Ivy does in the playoffs next year. It is always hard to know where the teams rank in FCS since the play so little outside of their northeastern footprint (even in non-conference games).

I won’t lie, I bought the fire truck because I loved it, but it’s actually really useful because it doubles as a flat bed truck.

Like when you need to move an 8’x7’ set of hardwood shelves and a 6' display table.

I am honestly sad to watch both league collapse, but incompetent management finally caught up with both of them.

I will always be a supporter of compentent grassroots soccer and I am really pulling for the League of Clubs (and groups like the MWPL and GCPL)

But with that being said, "if" USL ever does pro/rel within their tiers, a team like Annapolis is already in the door in USL2.

Smart move for Hitch (he rarely makes a bad move)
