The last scene with the dumbass CEO whose waltzes in with his tan and shorts, only to undermine Robby’s seniority and give staff seconds of notice before the computers go down…was…a choice.

'The Pitt’s Shawn Hatosy Explains How Abbot’s β€œUnexpected” Arrival Shakes Up This Season The Pitt's Shawn Atosy and Sepideh Moafi discuss Abbot's unexpected arrival in Season 2 and Al-Hashimi's continuing conflict with Robby.

Will have more with Shawn Hatosy in the weeks to come on #ThePitt (including more thoughts on That Scene) but I loved getting to chat with him and Sepideh Moafi about Al-Hashimi’s dynamic with Robby, the Season 1 moment that did Abbot dirty, and more:

I guess we’ve abandoned the old lady with Alzheimer’s storyline? We just assume she’s getting care?

Quite the moment when Langdon and Robby address the elephant in the room, albeit nearly drowned out by the helicopter, though that felt appropriate. Langdon is really trying! Robby: β€œI don’t know if I want you in my ED.”

Glad the baby is doing well. Cool to have that moment with Santos singing to her to calm her, and Isa Briones has a beautiful voice! Broadway actor, so that checks.

Thrilled to see Mel’s sister again via their FaceTime. Lovely surprise!

Glad to see Abbott back. Thought the response was appropriate. No fanfare. Less than 12 hours away for the other characters. Glad he and Al-Ashimi opened up a bit to each other, and to us.

There’s something off about the cancer patient’s husband and I can’t put my finger on it. He clearly loves her and is emotional, but he’s struggling to see things rationally and realistically.

I had a strong sense the sexual assault case would go that way with her behavior. Wasn’t surprised when she tried to rationalize it as β€œhe didn’t mean it”, and bails. Dana could sense it, too, and breaks down once the woman leaves.

Felt the Jackson story was poorly handled this episode. The dialogue felt verbatim and empty. Javadi almost felt robotic.

Initial thoughts: this season is having trouble staying with moments. Jumping all over the place.

We literally don’t need to check on everyone constantly. Stay with certain moments. Let us feel it.
