01.10.2025 15:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I loved Penny Dreadful because other "prestige" TV series would be centered around the drama of rich dudes and PD would be on its own like "Frankenstein's monster gets a crying monologue. Eva Green writhes around on a table during a sรฉance. Dorian Gray and the Wolfman make out for a while."

30.09.2025 20:11 โ ๐ 16 ๐ 5 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Way before #AlienEarth even premiered, I landed a dream assignment: talking with Timothy Olyphant about everything from lessons learned on #Deadwood with David Milch to the TV storytelling pitfall he hates the most to breaking down tonight's finale (spoilers are toward the end):

Recapped last nightโs episode of #Task, in which everything seems to be coming apart at the seams for Robbie in particular, especially with leaks on both sides:
29.09.2025 11:30 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0What's wild is that I watched Emma Watson trying to talk about JKR and it was clear she was trying to be like "I do love the person who was formative in my life, and I need for that feeling to be able to coexist" which is far, far more kindness than Rowling arguably deserves, and this just shows it

29.09.2025 11:30 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sinclair has said it will once again air JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!, and Nexstar likely will, too. But the last 10 days have shown why we are overdue for a massive reset in the network-affiliation relationship--or maybe the end of affiliates. Up now at @vulture.com

I also have advice. Everybody loves reading advice on the computer, so I'll share it: the best thing you can do right now is log off as hard as you can. Go outside, talk to people in real life where it's actually kind of rude to talk about the news, try to actually see the friends you usually just text message. Go for a long drive and turn the phone off while you do it. Get back into your hobbies or pick one and learn it for a while. Watch one of those studio movies that reviews called "wildly miscalculated" and you haven't seen since high school. Play an album you like but find embarrassing. Go to free community events even if they sound stupid. If you take the freeway, try the surface streets. Go to a bad diner and just order some bad coffee because even bad coffee is good coffee. You can't help anybody when you're exhausted and keep posting one million college-educated rewordings of "I would love to be dead right now" on the computer. Walk away from the thing and try out some of those normal things you hear about and if you get bored that's wonderful because we're not supposed to get bored anymore. It turns out boredom is the Cadillac of feelings.
