I’ve always wanted to check this out, time for the tribute watch.

I always thought that James Van Der Beek deserved a bigger career after The Rules of Attraction, where he gave such a ballsy, audacious+fearless performance as Sean Bateman. He got to show what he could do but sadly didn’t seem to get those opportunities again, I wish he had. R.I.P.

Completely agree about the Jet bit that’s the one big misstep into fast+furious territory for me.

For me, AGDTDH has the whiff of Bruce’s DTV era+McClane just seems to wonder around in a daze wanging on about being on vacation, he could be anyone, whereas in LFODH I still recognise him as the character, I think the superhero stuff is overegged, he did plenty of crazy shit in the other movies.

I actually have a fondness for Live Free, Good Day is horrifically bad however.
