I have a friend with a 12 year old kid in crisis due to most likely undiagnosed and untreated ASD, but she’s afraid to seek diagnosis for fear of these wackos will do something crazy to people with diagnosis. (I fear for my own 2E kids, but our family needs the support services)

I tried to explain university finances, indirect costs, and the extortionary demands that the Trump admistration is making of many universities.

My sister moved there 25 years ago for husband. They divorced but she stayed because of the affordability (and healthcare). Downtown has gotten super crowded and filled with uber wealthy foreigners, but outskirts still lovely and chill.

My high school freshman is forbidden from using AI for any of her work (including research). I was initially skeptical that her school wasn't preparing her for the world of AI, but now I agree with the policy of preserving their critical thinking and creativity.
