You’ll probably disagree with this but I thought it was clever how he did this and also he has the coroner dramatically describing the condition of treadwells remains so it’s like he’s giving you what you want but denying it at once.

It’s all well and good to pay tribute to your influences, but as with Tarantino it’s often a case of not acknowledging your sources. Presenting these names as if you came up with them when moviegoers aren’t likely to realize they are borrowed

One thing thats always annoyed me about Rob Zombie ( if I have to pick one) is his Tarantinoesque cribbing from older movies, stealing “Captain Spaulding” and “Rufus T.Firefly” from the Marx Brothers and “Captain Howdy” from the Exorcist

A lot of left discourse is legitimately time wasting ie: someone posts they are upset about something and someone else posts “ it’s always been like this”
Another example: arguments about whether republicans are evil or stupid or manipulative. They can do all three!
