Utterly ridiculous. Borderline criminal imho. Also, people were discussing the carbon footprint of spam e-mails. About AI, everybody immediately thinks of the footprint of training and running the models... but what about the footprint of crawlers mining to build a large enough training data?

Last month AI crawlers generated 90% of my site's traffic, forcing me to pay penalties
Problem solved after moving nameservers to Cloudflare+turning on AI crawler blocking.
Site monthly outbound data back to ~40GB per month, down from 800GB (!!) No impact on human visitors
