Yes the final 7th post was that my bags are safely ensconced in the hotel. Her name is Pip I think. Different woman in Te Whanganui-a-Tara... whhhhop. Literally a glass ceiling like in the sky... smashed

well, that brings us to the end. I got my bags, only 40 min later and I got to my hotel and to Tūranga and ready to start my day. But I do not wish a 4am wakeup before a 9.05am coffee on ANYONE (7/7)

but the luggage people didn't believe me till after at least 8 phone calls, and apparently, even though all this had happened, the bags were sitting round and someone else in baggage services was like, they should prob be in CHCH, so they were already winging its way to us, just 20 min later (6/n)

the woman was EXPECTING me, like they didn't try to find me to let me know or anything. When the other guy finds his way to the luggage services office 10 min later, they were NOT expecting him. I had already guessed that he was the hapless guy that checked in early (5/n)

I wait till the end and the luggage thingy stops. My other bag is no where to be found. Some other man is there and both his bags are no where to be found. We walk over to the luggage services people. He found some guy in high vis to ask outside while I go into the counter. (4/n)

flight is uneventful, aforementioned woman pilot made me feel better about how my day was starting out. I fell asleep and slept soundly the whole way thru (it's a superpower, yes you can be jealous). So then I landed. My oversized luggage appears INSTANTLY, almost before I get to the carousel (3/n)

so then they were like, it's fine, we'll just cancel these bags and put yours on. I was thinking (in my head), maybe those are real bags and perhaps you're stopping someone else's luggage not go to Ōtautahi now... hmmm. So anyway, I check in and it's now late, so I go straight to my plane (2/n)

OMG what a morning, So I get to the airport and there was a weird thing where they were like, but you checked in an hour ago, and I was like, no I didn't, they were like, oh no you just checked bags an hour ago but not you. I'm thinking, why would I do that?! (1/n)

Amaze my captain seems to be a woman (I'm not assuming gender but they have long hair and a stereotypically female name) yaaaaay, second time in two weeks (my Te Whanganui-a-Tara flight last week was the same)

One of the air stewards on this flight has a last name of "Pidgeon" bet he gets all the great jokes about flying. #aptronym
