Agree it does not make sense. What is going wrong? Why do people need top ups? Why don't wages meet what is needed to live without welfare? Confusing

Every child should be valued equally from the moment they are born.
Yet, when a child is born with medical needs or a disability, society too often sees them as a burden.
Tragically, the evidence we see throughout their lives only reinforces this painful truth.
Between 2011 and 2023, 816 care homes in England were forcibly closed by the regulator for poor standards and harms to residents.
804 were owned by for-profit entities. 30% -40% of fees vanish in profits, leaving less for services.
Profits and care don't mix.
Co production without the people who use the services that are bring co produced.
Thoughts please.

Being chronically ill is not a vacation
Itβs an unrelenting 24/7 fight to get your basic needs met. Youβre forced into legislated poverty & expected to grovel for what little help the system will give
Thereβs nothing easy about it & we need more support
I have come to the conclusion "What ever will be will be"
The only thing I can control is the thoughts I choose to dwell on. Even thoughts come and go through my mind. I have no direct control over central government, local government or nhs.
If a disabled person asks for help, donβt tell them to βtry harderβ.
Asking for help is one of the most difficult things for us, and I assure you we tried absolutely everything before we did it.
Ableism makes you think we can βfix ourselvesβ. Itβs not true. You canβt try harder out of disability
Having a mental health condition means you're at increased risk of having a physical health problem undiagnosed or diagnosed late, and you're at greater risk of a diagnostic error, @thisinstitute.cam.ac.uk systematic review shows. www.thelancet.com/journals/ecl...

Disabled people need the dignity of work, say Ministers, while simultaneously running a broken shambolic bureaucracy that can't even pay disabled people in work on time.

I think I am different from many because I want the opportunity of employment. Currently I cannot as I am on legacy benefits. I am impatiently waiting to migrate benefits. All the current work schemes only help those outta work for max of 12 months. #WelfareNotWarfare
