Geez. Listening to the pre game show on TBS, I’m surprised the Cubs bothered to show up. I mean, it’s over before it started. 😡

Counsell said Brown over Assad essentially came down to Brown’s ability to get a strikeout if needed. Brown over Rogers was based more on what Counsell anticipates from Milwaukee’s lineups and personnel.

Just saw a quote from
Counsell on that other place where he said the back end guys may not be used quite as much, and if they need a strikeout Brown would be a good option.

I’m trying really hard to do so.

The only thing I’ll say is I’ve never been a fan of pulling your starter after four when he’s pitched well. Five relievers could pitch well. It takes just one reliever who isn’t pitching well to ruin it.

Even with Jamo pitching well, we need more runs. Wind is blowing out to left and routine fly balls can become a problem.
