Remember that. And know this, the day will come when all these skirmishes and battles, these moments of defiance will have flooded the banks of the Empires’s authority and then there will be one too many. One single thing will break the siege.

Sorry for the hiatus everyone, there has been so much severe weather over the last several months for our agency and it's been incredibly busy. It is so hard to find time to get on here. Please know we are still fighting, we're still here. We're so understaffed and pulling regular 12-16 hour shifts.

Our field is no stranger to the conspiracy theorists who think we control the weather and think we wish harm upon the people we serve. Anti-government sentiment is at an all time high these days. And that is fucking horrifying...

US will stop tracking the costs of extreme weather fueled by climate change The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said it will no longer track the cost of weather disasters, including floods, heat waves, wildfires and more.

Ignoring the problem will not make it go away. This is a common fallacy that the current regime 100% believes in. If we don't keep track of all the billion dollar weather disasters, they'll just stop right?

No. This does hurt research that goes into climate science though. And that is terrifying.

If you rely on these products in your work, research, education, or planning, we invite you to share your story at nsidc@nsidc.org. Your input can help us demonstrate the importance of these data sets and advocate for future support.

SPC outlook for severe weather on April 19th 2025. General thunderstorms will be possible from eastern Arizona up through the Midwest and into the Northeast. Severe weather will be possible from Texas up through New York with the best potential for damaging winds and hail from Texas up through Indiana. The highest threat will be in Texas today, which also includes a low tornado threat.
