I believe that social media too often makes people appear to have no struggles.

I've been struggling with imposter syndrome a lot lately, as if I'm kidding myself and working so hard when I'm destined to fail again. It's a constant struggle to remind myself I am worthy of being here.

I recently was poking around the TYT website, and omg what a beautiful site! What can't you do!?

I am a person who works on the other side of events like this; this seems about the same kind of thing that happens when event management changes hands. I have worked with the same client year after year, and the minute a few new people take over, it's like starting at day one again.

Oh man there still isn't an update? I checked maybe last week and came to the same conclusion but I figured we would have more by now.

Oh and I'm looking into the local zine scene and learning about that. Maybe a way to get more people into the idea of TTRPGs as a third space as well as Actual Plays as media? Who knows

You're allowed to not like a thing other ppl like, the same way those ppl like a thing you don't like.

Divergent tastes support a larger ecosystem of games, so I think differences like this are to be celebrated. Too many ppl are eager to say someone is "wrong" for liking or disliking a thing.

Aside from the above mentioned collection of essays, I am also reading Radio Drama by Tim Crook. A section of the book is understandably dedicated to War of the Worlds (1938), the broadcast that sent people into pure panic believing that they were real reports of an alien invasion.

It's a strange feeling to be reacquainting myself to this part of history at the same time that deep fake generated videos are creeping into our feeds and may be already causing panic. Back then it seemed the official reaction to it was instant, meanwhile today it seems to be shrugged off

If you have an android phone. There is a wellness setting. You can set timers for any apps and after the time is up you cannot access the app anymore. I've been slowly reducing my timers for each app with a lot of success.
