I haven't been animating as much as I'd like to lately. I should fix that.

That said, have a WIP of Hakuri as a little treat. (My other favorite Kagurabachi character.)

Book is "They Thought They Were Free" by Milton Mayer. Written in 1955, interviewing 10 average German citizens about their lives under the regime.

I tell ya, reading a book about Nazi Germany doesn't exactly dissuade one from making comparisons to current events and the current regime. Especially when, at one point, it also offhandedly mentions Minneapolis and the rounding up of thousands of Japanese Americans in the same paragraph.

I like having long hair, but all this cold, dry air turns me into one hell of a static electricity generator every winter.

But yeah, expect an updated comm sheet for this and the new ad account sometime soon. Mostly just a few sparse price updates (no huge price hikes, people have been so kind with tips), and codifying some edge cases and questions that have come up this past year.

Trying to get some new commission sheets made for the new year, so I'm finally getting around to being a little bit more professional by making a proper TOS document.

Luckily, y'all have been cool, and I haven't needed one for CYA reasons thus far, but it'll be good to have just in case.

Believe it or not, the 1 lb gummy Krabby Patty was, in fact, detrimental to one's health. Got a bout 25-30% of the way through, felt a stomachache coming on, decided to call it quits.

Don't need to commit to the bit *that* hard.

Honestly kind of shocked me, given the company's history of complying in advance on LGBT stuff. I don't like a lot of the decisions the company makes, but I'll give them this one. It's better behavior than I expected.

Shift today started out with an all-store meeting telling us: "ICE is not allowed in the store. We can't stop them from being in the parking lot, but tell a team lead immediately if you see them at all so we can keep people safe."

For real, learning firsthand why they've got that reputation.

I think I've seen a couple videos clowning on ML a good while back, but I'd forgotten about them when swinging by Target earlier. Was just thinking "Hm, picks are delivering today. I should grab a lock to try them out and practice."

Also, when I do finally get the lock to engage properly to the point where I can use the pick, I literally just have to push up the first pin and it opens right away.

Maybe I just got a bad pull on the padlock gacha, but I don't think this specific one is going to be all that useful for practice.

Like, I'm super not an expert. I've had the picks for like 10 minutes now.

To my knowledge, you're supposed to apply pressure with the tension wrench and use the pick to set the pins in place until the lock turns.

80 to 90% of the time, this lock just opens without even needing to use the pick.

So, I picked up some lockpicking supplies with a bit of Christmas money (seems like a neat hobby to get into, and would be a useful niche skill to have in the back pocket). Also got a padlock to practice on.

I... don't know if I'm confident in the security of this Masterlock...

You know, despite the *gestures broadly* everything about 2025...

I think I can at least be happy with what I've managed to accomplish artistically this past year.

Sincerely hoping this one's better for a lot of people.

Personally, I'd like to try and branch out a bit. Expand my skill repertoire, try new things, perhaps make an effort to be a bit more engaged in the online communities I'm in.

I am so goddamm ready to no longer be in the holiday season at work. Last two months of the year are easily the worst time of the year to be working food retail. Massive freight volume, huge crowds that love to jump into your path when you're pulling a heavy pallet and try to get run over.

Actually remembered to record a timelapse for once.
