Gave our broody hens a couple of tiny eggs to sit on (not expecting them to hatch). So I was v v surprised to this little one today! Infortunately the other hens started attacking her + sibling so into the imcubator and now doing so well!

Beautiful walk today by the river! Ladybirds, Magpie moth, wild thyme, early meadowsweet and a grasshopper... magical!

As it’s #WorldEnvironmentDay I’m sharing my recent campaign calling on all coffee chains to switch from plastic to biodegradable cardboard coffee lids. All litter is bad but plastic doesn’t biodegrade and pollutes our messy spaces. Let’s make change together ♻️🥤☕️🧋

A model of a fighter plane made entirely from pieces cut from paper cups. In the photo the plane is balanced on top of one of the cups, and the text printed on the side of the cup reads "you can recycle me", so I did.

Two photos of me from today’s online ‘zoom’ workshop to Crawshawbooth Primary School in Lancashire. The children wanted ideas that they could combine to create a display for the 80th VE Day celebrations. In the photos I’m showing them how to make poppies, and fighter planes.

Even when I can’t get there, I find a way to get there! 😁 Today, a virtual workshop took me up to Crawshawbooth Primary in Lancashire to help the children with some ideas they could use for a VE Day display to mark the 80th celebrations.

Mr Williams shared these photos with me this week of the Ancient Greek helmets his Year 5 kids made using the method from my book Art Shaped. The children have used the project's techniques, but they've adapted them, used their own creativity, and ended up with beautiful, original results.
