Thanks ๐Ÿ˜ The colour is nice isn't it, who knew toilet roll tubes could look so much like stone.

I had a bit of time today to add to the last of the Ancient Egyptian faces I'm making. I'm learning a lot from looking at the style and sophistication of their beautiful designs.

ha . . . cut out the 'rounded' shape off the top one, paint it red, paint some black spots on it. Cut out the 'raised' shaped from the bottom one, paint it black. Glue them together and you'd have an excellent ladybird. ๐Ÿ˜†

Brilliant I'll pas that on. Funnily enough, I've been a long time admirer of Dave's work, as a student in there late 80's I had a prized copy or Arkham Asylum, which I still have in mint condition. My degree was illustration, and Dave was very inspiring. Thanks ๐Ÿ˜

Over 60 pupils from Years 5 - 8 have worked in teams to create this artwork in just two days. You can see how much effort they have put in. ๐Ÿ™‚

I just hit 10K followers on Instagram. ๐Ÿ‘
Iโ€™ve made a real effort in the last few months as engagement on Twitter dropped. Iโ€™ve done this solely using the work I create, no click bait, no plagiarism, and no gimmicks, well, give or take the odd โ€˜baboonโ€™ ๐Ÿ˜…

Hopefully Sue, you just have to keep a business head on and follow what works. You canโ€™t rely just on what you do to get attention, itโ€™s also the way you โ€˜packageโ€™ and promote it, so connecting with an โ€˜audienceโ€™ is vital these days. Being authentic and giving people time etc. Not easy. ๐Ÿ‘

So disappointed. I spent thousands of hours carefully promoting what I do, trying to support others and slowly building clients that offered me work, but also recommended me. In about three months he kicked all of that into the long grass, I've now spent time (and money) building my Instagram

It absolutely works with kids. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ I've been using the idea of what I call 'pure making' for years now, it's the backbone of my book. Whatever you remove you have to then find a way of reusing, no waste, no mess. Kids love the challenge, so do I. ๐Ÿ˜

It's 'Black Friday', and me and my mate Spoon Baboon are very excited to see 'Art Shaped' creep back into the Amazon craft book chart. ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Fabulous, lovely how she instilled this inventiveness in you as children. Mine was similar, but for different reasons. My mum isn't artistic at all, but she spotted that I was and used this to keep me quiet (I was annoying) I wasn't a reader, so art was what she used to shut me up. Still works. ๐Ÿ˜†

No problem, I do get stuff shared but not as much as other platforms where the following is more established. It just seems a bit hit and miss here so I try whatever gets suggested. ๐Ÿ™‚

It's a nightmare for me because I still get a big chunk of work recommendations through it. Believe me I'd drop it in a heartbeat, but financially I can't currently. I've spent this year building Instagram and have almost 10K there in the hope I can shift emphasis. Tough though.

Same here but I put that down to the lesser numbers I've got here and the 'regulars' that I've picked up who are genuinely interested. Maybe it will grow. Twitter engagement is so bad at the moment, very disappointing after spending years building up interest.
