Joining the comments to say that A-level Spanish was offered but then withdrawn for my son because they needed a class size of <8 to make it financially viable. It's not a choice, it's forced upon our young people by austerity

Definitely look at local schools, even if it seems a long way away: of course you can get to wherever, but it's so much easier if schools are walkable
