Toppers are one of my essentials- between my cats always being curious about what I’m doing and the projects I carry in my purse- they have saved my butt so many times by keeping my stitches on the needles 😆

Same! Ribbing is just the right amount of keeping fingers busy, but not having to pay too close attention to a pattern 😆

Oh, oh, i think my heart just broke a bit. It meant so much to me that my yarn has historical inspirations and that there were fundraisers for good causes. I even got brave enough to share my knitting to help celebrate the yarn source. I’m going to go cry in the corner now.

I remember reading when this happened that part of what hit the jewelry makers/owners so hard was that they routinely vastly underinsured their items because that travel insurance is extremely expensive.

Pattern just in case you’ve missed it! Last I saw they have donated over $250,000. It is a very easy knit, I did do an icord instead of a braid and added a tassle. In my fingering one I plan on extending the stockinette section and alternating the decrease rows to soften the top angle a bit.

Just finished my “Melt the ICE hat”! I was itching to start it from when it was released, but needed to finish a WIP first. I’ve already cast on another in fingering weight, this one is DK. Glad I had some red yarn in my stash from Republic of Yarnia!
