My old Zappi is just set in fast mode (which makes it a dumb charger) and I control the car. I can't remember what EV you're driving but can you control that instead of the Zappi. Several people I know who control their charger instead of their car has a shit time with it... Not just Zappi either.

The Tesla Gateway does support 3-phase but not for backup as there's no way to bridge the batteries together, they're not all running in phase when the power drops so it's probably not as simple as having load switches to connect them all together.

It is a Vaillant Arotherm+ and yes they can be a little optimistic I think but mine is a very optimal setup. Designed for 35C flow temp at -3C outside temp so the high SCoP isn't unexpected. I should get a proper heat meter installed alongside it really to get more accurate figures.

It's not unreliable just not quite as accurate as a dedicated external heat meter.

The results are in for our ASHP for 2024. We have a combined SCoP of 4.4 (heating + HW) for the whole year which I am happy with. If we exclude hot water the SCoP is 4.7. I will caveat this with this is built in monitoring.

I meant to post this sooner but 2025 has started a bit busier than hoped!
