The Silent Freeway

I was there on the front lines for the case that resulted in the creation for 230. (Zeran v. AOL). I resigned all my moderator positions recently in fear of its repeal and my personal liability.

I'm not a re-tweeter. I prefer to make my own statements and have my own thoughts, then deliver that to the internet.

But there is something about music lyrics.....

In my early years, I was once insulted so profoundly, that the spite carried me into my first 14 year career of success and wild wealth. In early January, I was similarly insulted, and I wonder what the next 14 years will bring. If the last 8 weeks are any indicator, there will be no stopping me.

You know what I miss? 1992: Going on Sierra Online and playing cards all night long with friends and bullshitting in chat.

Then some asshole had to send the first spam mail (His name was Sanford Wallace) and then the marketers came and ruined everything with ads.

The narcissist spent another day posting incorrect information on the internet. It was a joy to point out how wrong it was, and watch that information disappear from their feed without even so much as saying "hey you know what? i was wrong."

But then they wouldn't be a narcissist if they did.

Today was a snow day. My first real snow day since my cats passed last winter. Thus, I had no animals (nor anyone else) to be cozy with in my chair as I watched the snow come down.

I managed to shovel my walk, but otherwise, I'm trapped in my home until the snow melts as I cannot shovel.

Today's executive order destroyed the Federal Executive Institute, which is in Charlottesville, VA. Can you guess why he targeted that? Here's a hint: "there are good people on both sides there".

Monday is over and here's the list of things I am tired of hearing about: The super bowl halftime show, Drake, the super bowl, the eagles, the chiefs, elon musk, anything posted on twitter, anything said by an optimist, and kale.

It's late. I can't sleep. I have to go to work in a few hours because the rest of the week is work from home because of the weather. Also, I didn't watch the super bowl for the first time in my adult life. I don't feel like I missed out on anything.

Premier League is better anyway.

This year I'll be boycotting the super bowl. Mostly because its the eagles and chiefs, but that other reason is good too.

Also: Democrats and Lefties: Y'all's biggest branding problem is abbreviations. Stop calling it DEI. Call it Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion so that the other side knows what they're fighting against. same with Antifa. Why abbreviate it? SAY YOU ARE ANTI-FASCIST. #antifa #dei #brandingprobs

I just bought three dozen for $3.80 a dozen at Wegman's. I generally thing the economy is about to take a nose dive, but where are people shopping that egg prices have been prohibitively expensive? Beef Prices, on the other hand, seem way more out of hand.

I'm no conservative. Verrrry Far from it. But the number of times that "liberals" have told me what i should be doing with my self, my body, and my life is astounding. For people so concerned about bodily autonomy, they sure don't practice what they preach. #hypocrisy.

Here's my first thought:

In this day and age, it is important to be mentally engaged to understand the threat to peaceful society. But what happens when one can no longer cope? Sometimes you have to detach to regain sanity.

Why is this an affront to those more able to fight?
