If you think Establishment Dems are doing a great job, you're going to love Mikie Sherrill

Utter contempt for the First Amendment as lead sponsor of TikTok ban. Used to get Elon Musk donations. New Jersey could have done so much better

Maybe they’ll even manage to lose to Jack

It’s so painful. These party boss democrats are responsible for running the party into the ground. They get to keep doing so with Sherrill

Yes, running moderate, machine backed candidates without any policy proposals has worked out so well for democrats these last 10 years.

Whatever the result of the NJ primary (I am seeing some reports already that Sherrill has won) I would like to thank @stevenfulop.bsky.social for running a really positive, inspiring, policy-focused campaign!!

So weird to me that his supporters will say things like β€œYou have to admit he has charisma and is a great speaker!”

He only seems to have passion when he is either talking up himself or putting others down. He isn’t actually a very good story telling or a compelling talker.

Incredibly proud to be a volunteer on this campaign. NJ has the opportunity to become one of the first states to follow through on the promise of progressive ideas, but machine-backed candidates like @mikiesherrill.bsky.social just mean more if the same

@stevenfulop.bsky.social you’re our only hope

I’ve really devolved from

β€œThis guy Steve Fulop seems good”

to β€œIf Fulop doesn’t win it sets progressive policy in America back 20 years”

In the last 5 months. Make us proud @stevenfulop.bsky.social !

Is there any productive way to actually support the project?

Any idea if Larry Andersen still calls home games?

Unfortunate! Democratic machine politics in NJ is a big reason people have lost faith in the Democratic Party.

Would also encourage you to check out @stevenfulop.bsky.social!

His policy detail is unmatched and might actually make a Democrat in NJ look good for once.

People like Kirk and Bannon have 100% bad intentions.

However, an uncomfortable truth the Democratic Party has to reckon with is the fact that they need to somehow reach voters who voted for Donald Trump without making them feel like we think they voted for the devil (which they kind of did)

21.03.2025 17:47 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Oh yea this has certainly turned me off Gavin Newsom and I don’t endorse this particular course of action at all.

I’d like to think we can endorse the idea of trying new things while also thinking this is a bad idea

21.03.2025 17:05 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The bigger issue here is democrats are so scared to try anything other than conventional methods that this seems absurd. We should be trying all possible ways of reaching people and going with the ones that hit.

21.03.2025 16:48 β€” πŸ‘ 7    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

My hot take is that it’s actually not a problem that Gavin Newsom is doing this. It’s one out of the box strategy that a high profile democratic elected official is trying.

If it fails and he loses all credibility without making inroads, who cares?

Phenomenal write up explaining (maybe) the biggest misconception people have about economics: that building housing in cities leads to higher rents

College Democrats want Fulop as New Jersey's next governor - New Jersey Globe The College Democrats of America and the College Democrats of New Jersey have endorsed Steve Fulop, the three-term mayor of Jersey City, to succeed

I’m thankful - This was a competitive process that all the candidates screened to get and I’m grateful they chose our campaign. To win this November we need young ppl engaged that sat out last November’s election. newjerseyglobe.com/governor/col...

If nothing else, this shows how little Trump/Republicans/most Americans at this point understand the value of collective global security.

They act like the world is a zero-sum, every country for themself competition.

VANCE: I think it's disrespectful to come into the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media

I don’t think there’s every been a more β€œright” answer than nominating @stevenfulop.bsky.social for governor for Democrats

From personal experience this is a huge problem. The worst instances are when the trains are so packed that the conductor can’t come through so the trains with the highest actual ridership aren’t accounted for properly

10.02.2025 22:46 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That’s a far better way to vet candidates than a pleasant personal profile of Mikie Sherrill in the New York Times

For sure! I think the more thorough the examination, the better Mayor Fulop’s candidacy looks.

I’d encourage everyone to look through his detailed policy proposal proposals for New Jersey that go into specifics on HOW he would make it easier to build housing in NJ rather.

Democrats have been caught defending norms for their own sake.

Something is only worth defending if it makes people lives better and traditional NJ democratic politics has failed to do that. I want a fighter in my next Governor @stevenfulop.bsky.social!

Watching the Democratic Primary debate for Governor of NJ is wild because on the one hand, this is one of the more substantive policy debates. But on the other hand there are 644 people watching

Lots of empty words from Baraka, Sherrill, Gottheimer, and Spiller

I hope primary voters look at Fulops record in JC, record is really the biggest separator between the candidates
