I just went to Whole Foods and many shelves are empty. They are blaming it on βthe system is down.β
10.06.2025 21:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hmm. We agree on that.
I feel it is a mixed message for employers to offer work so that millions come over the border, and then we tell them they are here illegally and kick them out. Itβs dysfunctional.
Also, I do regard country folk as being more polite, and generally overall more helpful and nice than city folk.
10.06.2025 02:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0They want to make America great again as it was either in the 1950s, or even in the 1850s. While overt racism has mostly disappeared, many believe their religion is the only true religion and should be enforced as law. Even in Trump counties, at least 20 or 30% voted for Kamala so there is hope.
10.06.2025 01:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My perception of middle America is based on what I have personally heard them say either directly or via interview. While there are some well educated people, there are millions of ignorant people who hate the idea of higher education. They are anti-knowledge and anti-science.
10.06.2025 01:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Middle America thinks that liberal people are evil and radical. Thatβs because they are not very well educated and they listen to what is on Fox News as though it is fact. They cannot distinguish fact from fallacy. And some I imagine are fine people as Trump would say.
10.06.2025 01:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My perception of middle America is mixed. There are vast areas where the people are not very well educated and actually vote against higher education. Over 1/3 of the United States thinks there is a 6000 years old because of the Bible. They are against higher education.
10.06.2025 01:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yet we have 10 to 20 million illegal people working in the United States. They are here to work or seek asylum. Only a small minority abuse the system. Over 40% of field workers in the United States are here illegally. Should we jail the thousands of employers using illegal people?
10.06.2025 01:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Rural counties have more space so the squalor is not as concentrated as it is in that small area of Los Angeles. Most of those 2500 counties have millions of people living in trailers or near-tear down condition houses. Only slightly better than Skid Row and rarely reported on. Worse than LA overall
10.06.2025 01:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Almost all food produced in this country is picked/processed by mostly undocumented or illegal migrants.
From a practical standpoint, how will that work? Who will do this work? Will we be paying $20 for a head of lettuce? $30 for a pound of hamburger?
About 550 counties voted for Harris and over 2500 voted for Trump. The vast majority of these Trump counties are rundown rural areas which could be regarded as shit holes. Iβve driven through hundreds of them. Should dems call them shithole counties? Low education, worthless people?
No. Yet LA is?
The other thing to consider is what should be done with the 10 to 20 million undocumented people in this country. If you throw them all out, the economy will literally collapse. Most of them are hard-working. White people think they are above such hard work.
10.06.2025 00:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If someone over stays their visa, they are entitled to a hearing, and the judge can determine what should be done. They should not be taken off the street without even knowing whatβs going on and sent to some prison in El Salvador.
10.06.2025 00:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0One of many. Most sent to El Salvador are the same as this case.

I just did several queries. Skid Row is about 4 mi.Β² which is almost one percent of the the cityβs surface area. What should be done about the homeless problem. Compare and contrast that to the thousands of square miles of rundown Trump supporter areas around the country.
10.06.2025 00:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0None, they have already had due process and should be kicked out of the country.
Thatβs not what Iβm talking about. Have you even followed the news regarding those deported with no due process?
I go to LA often. 99% of it is perfectly fine. For you to call this shit hole makes me wonder if youβve ever been there. Sure, there are areas where there are lots of homeless. But itβs a small percentage in the entire city. What should be done about the homeless problem there?
10.06.2025 00:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The fact is, Trump has demonstrated that he can pull people off the street with zero due process. He has done it many times now. He could do it to you or me. Sending us off to some unknown place never to be seen again.
10.06.2025 00:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Over 99% of LA looks perfectly fine and decent. I suggest you get your news from some less biased source. The same goes for San Francisco where I live. Itβs a clean beautiful city with a few bad blocks that are constantly reported on. I am sick and tired of these lies.
10.06.2025 00:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Nothing is happening in 99% of LA. They are focusing on one small protest. The left did not have a tantrum about the hundreds of thousands of deportations under the previous Trump administration and Obama and everybody before then. This is a different scenario now, far beyond normal deportations.
09.06.2025 02:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Thatβs fine. Get the worst out.
Iβm talking about what has been happening recently, where people are being taken out of the country with no due process. There is a reason why the protests have become so strong.
Iβm not talking about traditional deportations. Iβm talking about the new tactics that Trump is using now with no due process. That is why there are so many protests about this now. Do you follow the news?
09.06.2025 00:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Obama averaged about 400,000 deportations per year. Trump averaged about 250,000 deportations per year in his first term. These are not being argued with. Itβs the new tactic of isolating and expelling people without due process that I have a problem with.
09.06.2025 00:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You are referring to deportations as they have always been done. The illegal people have already had their day in court. Iβm talking about when people are rounded up off the street, unannounced and sent to illegal prisons in Central America with no due process.
This is new under Trump.
Republicans starting with Reagan and the Bushes allowed most of them in. Not just dems. Business owners of all political leanings want cheap labor.
08.06.2025 20:32 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 0 π 1No, an accusation is NOT due process. Having a tattoo which MAY be from a gang, is not due process. Throw the gang bangers out, but make sure they really are gang bangers, not just suspects. I despise them as much as you do.
08.06.2025 20:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Please read about due process.
Youβre wrong.
The constitution mandates due process. If due process indicates criminality, kick them out. Trump rejects the constitution because he cares not about due process.
