Honestly, that divergence reflects the possible variance from this roster. It is young and has talent and depth but it is short on proven veteran players and might lack leadership. They could be better than last year (my bet), or they might be worse.

I do not understand these UCL injuries so early in the season. I know MLB looked at pitcher injuries as a whole, I think including early injuries. My recollection is that the results were inconclusive.
