I've decided I'm going to do the radio shift because it suits the story much better as a medium to tell the tale - that does not mean I'll be tossing out the 10 chapters I've managed because there's nothing stopping me from doing both down the line!

Am I considering starting my whole project over as a radio drama instead of a book? Yes. Yes I am.

Hey #writingcommunity I've hit a huge milestone (for me) today in completing the first draft of chapter 10! 32 more to go but now it feels like I'm really doing this!

Can't believe i neglected to post about the villain of my novel. Grecko Thomas - a demon straight out of Greed who won't stop until he rules over all of creation. Devourer of the first fallen and one of two demons currently contending for King of Hell. Stopping him won't be easy. ##writingcommunity

It's been a bit since I've posted any excerpts to the #writingcommunity and I've got a good one I'll need to break into parts here. I'm very proud of establishing names have such power that even in the narration it doesn't say the character's name directly.

I managed to do a pretty good set up for free over on wix. Has some ads, and it's a little limited, but it got the job done for what I needed.

Finished Chapter 9 draft and started chapter 10 yesterday. Snow days really do hit different don't they? However now I have to figure out how I'm gonna shovel myself out to get to the day job.

Not the first line of the day but the most amusing I've done in a while:
“Do you have something to fight with?”

“Dagger, not as cool as yours but I wasn’t exactly planning on squaring up against the legions of Hell today.” Voshe shrugged, it was just the fact of the matter.

Depends. Sometimes I'll go back and want to reread a specific part just because it hit so well, but if I'm planning on re-reading the book overall I'll reread the whole book.

Smack dab between neutral and chaotic planner. My outline is on note cards that look like a conspiracy board by the time I'm done but I tend to write the actual story in order lol

For me alot of times it's going through names until I find something that just sounds right, but I do occasionally look at meanings as well. In fantasy I'll usually take syllables from 2-3 names and glue them together

People mistook their lack of affection for a lack of love. The red in Miranda’s eyes and the tight shaking grip that Cain held his walking stick with both spoke louder than the stony neutral expressions they wore. They wouldn’t let their mourning be a grand public display.

Been very slowly hacking away at my writing these last few days - motivation has been low. That said even when its only a few sentences it's still progress. Haven't been posting here much because there hasn't been much that would make good teasers but know it has been going.

To give a little context on this one, The Collector - King of Greed runs a casino down in Hell and the sound of someone winning big is simply music to his ears, something one of our heroes cannot comprehend.

"You play fair? But you're the king of Greed."

"It keeps people happy. Something Mammon never thought about - keeping her people happy. I could be the most hated demon in hell, so long they happy - they'll keep me around because happy don't come easy anywhere but my halls."

Finished up that scene I had to go back to in ch3 this morning so planning on taking a small break on the story to work on the world bible a bit more!

Hello I've got many new followers so time for a proper introduction! I go by LociLore and I'm working on writing my first novel/series - Divine Corruption. A fantasy/occult tale of men demons and angels, the good and the bad of them all, and the desire to not just survive but live against the odds.

The arguing was making Himiko uncomfortable but they had many reasons to be uncomfortable. Being in Hell was one. The pain they were in was one. Knowing that the pain wasn’t just because they were an angel in Hell and that it was effecting everyone now joined the list of reasons.

First bit of writing this morning before work is going back and filling in a scene I had to skip over that's been rolling around in the back of my head, and ooh I am feeling the opening on this now that I've gotten it figured out.

Some thoughts on my writing progress, Most say dont edit first drafts until you're done but for me I need to do at least a sweep over it to be sure I like the direction things are going, and to clean up any OBVIOUS errors. All this to say - write the way that makes you comfortable.

I've gotten original art of my main villian done who is trying to pass as Angelic but not quite hitting the mark

Himiko knew and wished that they did not, because of how terrible the many many implications of it were. “He was wielding The Spear of Destiny.” They spoke softly, because maybe if no one heard it wouldn’t have to be the truth. “Correct.” The weight of that single word was crushing. “Wait-“ Estelle interjected, her own fears confirmed. “You mean like *The* Spear of Destiny? As in the holiest of relics?” The Dark Sun just nodded along as she asked her questions, eyes closed in contemplation. “Indeed. The Spear of Destiny, or the Spear of Longinus depending on the text, the lance that pierced the side of The Holy Son as he was crucified. His blood - the blood of god made man, soaked into the weapon that became a man-made Divine Weapon. One capable of altering reality at that. While mankind once kept it upon our plane during Hell on Earth it was retrieved by Heaven and has been safeguarded by the highest of high angels, the Archangels for the past 1800 years without contest. According to intelligence I was able to scrounge together while you recovered - Grecko did the impossible and not only entered Heaven without dying on the spot, but also managed to combat the Archangels in their own home and emerge victorious according to what his followers claim. While I’ve little reason to doubt it, I’ve also no means of confirming it beyond him clearly possessing the spear.”

He'd say it is, and as one of the two demons powerful enough to contend for king few can argue lol. He does have a pocket square that matches his vest - and a fancy cravat because regular ties are too casual for him.

Somewhere between the three piece suit and the crystal glass of Ambrosia - was a palpable sense of superiority pouring off the Demon.
