It's much simpler if you live in one of those states, but it's possible for Paizo to open up other states if needed. (Easier said than done in many cases, as all the regulations, processes, and costs are different from state to state.)

There are Paizo employees who work from/live in Canada. I'd consider reaching out to HR to ask about that process and perhaps applying anyway if you think you're a good fit.

Every state has specific regulations, costs, and processes for getting set up to hire remote employees, and some are more prohibitive or expensive than others.

You do not need a degree in English or Mathematics to be considered for this job, by the way. You should be a strong writer and have relevant math skills. "Equivalent experience" can be many things aside from a degree. (Repeating a disclaimer: I am not in HR, just a member of the Starfinder team.)

1. There are plenty of people at Paizo who have LinkedIn accounts, and plenty who don't. If you have a thorough/active account, it can't hurt to link it, but I doubt it matters if you don't have LinkedIn.

2. Yeah, a cover letter is a good idea.

A bachelor's or similar experience is preferred, but not required. :)

Starfinder Core Rulebook, a graph ruled notebook, and pencil.

Some days I work with fancy spreadsheets and dozens of PDFs. Today I did much of my work with a notebook, a pencil, and the Starfinder Core Rulebook. Sometimes you need to go back to basics.

I'll be attending Norwescon in March! Anyone else attending? I'm hoping to be on some panels, and maybe... just maybe... I'll run some demos of Starfinder 2E!
