Orada kalkıp "Osmanlı adaya 300 yıl hükmetti." yazmışsın. Ben de bunun bir bahane olmayacağını anlattım. Kıbrıs sorununun çözülmeme sebebi Türkiye. Adanın birleşmesini ben de savunuyorum. Yıkıcı olduğum falan yok. Fetih hayalleri kuranlara demelisin bu sözleri.

Yunanlar Kıbrıs'ta milattan önce 2. yy'dan beri varlar. Türklerin gelişinden yüzyıllar önce. Türkiye anlaşmalarla kaybettiği adalarda da hak iddia ediyor. Hâlâ birçok Balkan şehriin Osmanlı'daki adını söylüyorlar. Haksız olan taraf Türkiye. Neo-Osmanlıcılığı bıraksınlar, sonrası hallolur.

KKTC'nin tanınmaması gerekiyor zaten. Askeri operasyonla başka bir ülkenin topraklarını işgal edip ülke kurarsan belki 3-5 ülke hariç kimse tanımaz o ülkeyi. Çözüm adanın birleşmesi.

Olivier winner John Lithgow attacks Trump’s second presidency as ‘a disaster’ for US arts Speaking after his best actor victory, Lithgow said Donald Trump’s administration ‘has done some shocking, destructive things’ especially its takeover of the Kennedy Center The actor John Lithgow has described Donald Trump’s second presidency as “a pure disaster” for the arts in the US. Lithgow, speaking after his best actor victory at the Olivier awards in London on Sunday, singled out Trump’s takeover of the Kennedy Center, Washington DC’s national institution for the performing arts. “Our administration has done some shocking, destructive things,” he said, “but the one that grieves me most is taking over the Kennedy Center.” The US president is now chair of the prestigious cultural complex (which was founded as a government-funded, bipartisan venue) and has installed new board members and a new interim leader, loyalist Ric Grenell. The board had been in the process of selecting a successor to outgoing leader Deborah Rutter, who in January announced her intention to step down after 11 years. Continue reading...

Trump Has a New Target for His Mass Deportations: U.S. Citizens Donald Trump is delighted by the chance to expand his mass deportations.

Donald Trump loves the idea of deporting American citizens to El Salvador—no, seriously he said that.

“I don’t know what the law says on that, but I can’t imagine the law would say anything different,” Trump said. In fact, the law does say something different: it is illegal to deport U.S. citizens.

My research on civil rights movement found nonviolent protests were generally more effective for growing coalition but, in absence of police and vigilante repression, many news outlets deemed peaceful protests not newsworthy.
